SERTORIUS last night made history when he became the first horse to win twice both the Geelong Racehorse of the Year and Geelong's Most Popular Racehorse.

Trained by Jamie Edwards and Bruce Elkington and owned by Mike Palmer, Sertorius won the 2014 Adapt Australia Geelong Racehorse of the Year in a landslide with 81.08 per cent of the vote from Wells (7.82), Crafty Cruiser (5.35), Lord Durante (3.7) and Vibrant Rouge (2.05).

Sertorius also won Geelong's Most Popular Racehorse with with 13.04 per cent of votes, ahead of Wells on 9.57.

Relentless was third with 7.39, followed by Lord Durante (5.65), Crafty Cruiser (5.00) and Vibrant Rouge (3.7).

Sertorius also won the Geelong Racehorse of the Year and Most Popular awards last year.

He is only the second dual winner of the Geelong Racehorse of the Year after Caulfield Cup winner Diatribe, who was successful in 2000 and 2001.
