The Edwards / Elkington winning form continued at Traralgon on Tuesday when Viper Room took out the "Winning Post Racing Calender" Handicap over 1430m on a heavy rated track by 1/2 a length from the well backed favourites Well Written and in 3rd place the Gauntlet.

Viper Room was unwanted in betting despite his eye catching 1st up run at Geelong but the son of Golden Snake defied the betting drift  to win for stable Apprentice jockey Josh Cartwright.

Josh was unlucky not to have ridden a stable double when his mount Countthepineapples was just grabbed on the line in an earlier race of the day.

Viper Room has now recorded his 5th win for his connections and according to co-trainer Jamie Edwards is "the best I've had him at this stage of his prep so we're looking forward to a lot of fun racing him throught the Winter".
