Mossailey can stay

Feb 28, 2011

The Edwards / Elkington stables' winning form continued on Monday at Terang when Mossailey took out the "Jacob D Signs Maiden Plate" over 1600m in impressive style.

Applying the blinkers first time to the Mossman gelding out of trainer Cliff Brown's fast Zabeel mare Diamond Hailey did the trick and he careered away for an easy and comfortable win.

After a couple of narrow defeats Jamie said after the race "it was good to finally get his maiden win on the board" and being only 3 looks to have a bright staying future in front of him.

Craig Robertson rode him almost arrogantly when he flew the barriers to position up third in running. He then pulled his way to the front at the 200m mark and when Craig said "Lets Go" he spaced his rivals for a comfortable 3 1/2  length win.

Congratulations to the connections of Mossailey - Ken & Wendy Dyer, Yvonne Hickenbotham, Jack Morgans, Joe Dimech, Greg Perry, Margot Pearson, Ken Rhodes and Cliff brown on his fantastic win.
