GEELONG Racehorse of the Year Sertorius is primed for the Group Three Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2600m) on the last day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

The Galileo gelding missed the Group Three Sportingbet Geelong Cup (2400m) on October 23 with a fetlock injury but bounced back the following week with an emphatic victory in the Bendigo Cup (2400m).

Last year Puissance De Lune won the Bendigo Cup – Queen Elizabeth Stakes double and Sertorius is favoured to emulate the double for local trainers and club members Jamie Edwards and Bruce Elkington.

Regular jockey Ryan Maloney will again ride Sertorius who is $5 favourite with Sportingbet, ahead of Lexus Stakes runner-up Let's Make A Deal $5.50.
