The patience of Fill The Fridge's owners finally paid off when the mare won the PJA Accountants 0-58 Handicap at Avoca on cup day with stable apprentice Josh Cartwright in the saddle.

Cartwright positioned the Barely A Moment 5YO mare  midfield and then allowed her to produce a finishing burst to storm past the leaders and win by just under half a length.

In what has been a frustrating preparation for her trainers and loyal connections the horse has been floated to the races five times only to have the meetings canceled. Co-trainer Jamie Edwards said "it's been disappointing for her connections and disruptive to the mares preparation". "But with her 3rd win under her belt  I'm confident  there's more wins in store for the Fridge".

Congratulations to local breeder / owner Anthony Mithen, managing owner Adrian Buckley, Juliet Buckley, Peter Sandars, Kev Purcell, Ray Archibald, Jane Littore, Greg Midolo and all syndicate connections in Fill The Fridge Racing.
